We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced healthcare administration professional to lead our Outpatient Administration team at St Joseph's Hospital.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take on a leadership role within our hospital. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Outpatient Administration area, ensuring all reception areas are covered while clinics are in session.

You will also be tasked with monitoring consultant clinics to provide a seamless patient experience, handling bookings, answering phone calls, and performing other administrative duties as required. Additionally, you will be expected to train new staff members assigned to the team, manage annual leave and sick cover, and be the primary point of contact for bank and agency staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Outpatient Administration team
  • Monitor consultant clinics to ensure a smooth patient experience
  • Perform administrative tasks such as booking appointments, answering phone calls, and more
  • Train new team members
  • Manage annual leave and sick cover
  • Be the main point of contact for bank and agency staff
  • Conduct appraisals, probationary reviews, and return-to-work interviews

Requirements:

  • Experience leading a team in a supervisory role
  • Administrative experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in IT systems
