Job Title: Chief People and Resource Officer

The estimated salary for this role is £52,000 per annum. This position requires a strategic leader to oversee the charity's human resources, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and effective talent management.

About the Role:
  • This senior leadership role involves developing and implementing HR strategies to enhance employee retention and performance management.
  • The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, including IT and premises management, to ensure operational efficiency.
  • A strong track record in strategy development and operational management within the charity or non-profit sector is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Human Resources Leadership:
    • Evaluate adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, particularly from the Charity Commission and CQC.
    • Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to promote an equitable workplace culture.
  2. Corporate Governance and Compliance:
    • Provide risk management insights and updates to the Board of Trustees.
    • Oversee employee relations, ensuring alignment with the charity's values and mission.
  3. IT and Resource Strategy:
    • Design and execute an IT strategy aligned with the charity's vision and goals.
    • Manage the procurement and training of IT resources to optimize technology utilization.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Qualifications:
    • CIPD certification
    • Strong knowledge of charity sector challenges and corporate governance frameworks.
  • Skills and Experience:
    • Proven track record in senior leadership roles, particularly in HR or People and Culture domains.
    • Expertise in legal and regulatory compliance for charities, including familiarity with the Charity Commission and CQC standards.
