Roofing and Cladding Buyer Role

GVR Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Roofing and Cladding Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for procuring and scheduling products, materials, plant, and equipment for our construction projects.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills and have experience in roofing or cladding buying. You will also have a working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets, as well as the ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Procure and schedule products, materials, plant, and equipment for construction projects
  • Ensure purchases offer best value and monitor price increases
  • Track orders and proactively address any failed or late deliveries
  • Maintain and develop the supply chain
  • Identify new products and process purchase ledger records
  • Ensure timely on-time delivery in line with project programs and budget
  • Review the credentials of potential new suppliers and ensure compliance
  • Ability to forward plan for multiple site projects and prioritise workload
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years Purchasing experience in roofing, cladding, or an aligned industry
  • Experience and/or education in procurement and inventory management
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications
