GVR Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services for our roofing and cladding projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Procurement and Scheduling: Procure and schedule products, materials, plant, and equipment to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  2. Value for Money: Ensure that all purchases offer the best value for money, taking into account factors such as quality, price, and lead time.
  3. Price Monitoring: Monitor and report on price increases, updating internal spreadsheets to ensure accurate tracking.
  4. Order Tracking: Track orders and proactively address any failed or late deliveries to minimize disruptions to projects.
  5. Supply Chain Management: Maintain and develop the supply chain, identifying new products and suppliers to meet the needs of our projects.
  6. Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills to optimize pricing and commercial terms.
  7. Supplier Management: Review the credentials of potential new suppliers and ensure that suppliers are compliant with our company's standards.
  8. Forward Planning: Ability to forward plan for multiple site projects and prioritize workload across long-lead and real-time demands.
  9. Problem Solving: Identify potential supply problems and solutions to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in roofing, cladding, or an aligned industry.
  2. Education and Skills: Experience and/or education in procurement and inventory management, with a working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
  3. Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
