Job Description

GVR Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Roofing and Cladding Designer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Development: Ensure all construction drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality standard, and meet the client's expectations.
  2. Design Management: Manage the development and implementation of design proposals, adhere to budget constraints, and maintain developed design as financially viable.
  3. Technical Expertise: Oversee the design process using technical expertise, maintain thorough documentation of the design and development, and comply with ISO9001 standards.
  4. Project Coordination: Coordinate the submission of information to satisfy building control compliance, lead the coordination and production of design data, bid deliverables, reports, and documentation essential to the project and contractual requirements.
  5. Design Oversight: Oversee the design of multiple projects throughout the contract period, review and understand architectural design intent documentation, and develop acceptable construction solutions.
  6. Collaboration: Coordinate subcontractor drawings from various trades, review product technical data to ensure product compliance, and incorporate designs.
  7. Support: Assist with design schedules, provide design and technical support to all departments throughout the design and construction phase, and attend design team meetings.
  8. Reporting: Prepare full site reports from site surveys on progress, quality, and compliance.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Hard metal Roofing and Cladding Design Experience of 5+ years is preferable.
  2. Education: Construction/design-related further education or HNC/HND/Degree is advantageous.
  3. Skills: High-level competency with AutoCAD and BIM, familiarity with online document portals, and a strong track record of ensuring quality design information is provided in accordance with project requirements.
  4. Licenses: Full Driving Licence is required.
