Safety Compliance Specialist (EMC/Product Safety)

Allen & Heath Limited is seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Specialist to join our Research and Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety compliance of our audio electronics products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the compilation of test reports and documentation for safety compliance.
  • Check product design safety criteria and liaise with external safety and EMC agencies.
  • Assist distributors with safety queries and provide support for local safety approvals.
  • Issue Declaration of Conformity documents and update website legal and regulatory sections.
  • Upload compliance documentation to our resource space and update safety instruction booklets.
  • Compile safety approval information and resolve safety agency queries and non-compliances.
  • Check draft safety reports and get product designs updated for approval.
  • Check the safety of PCBs and compile annual ETL lists of unlisted components.
  • Issue annual POs for ETL number licenses and issue ECNs regarding safety.
  • Check and sign ECNs for safety and prepare product ranges for issue 4 62368-1 safety updates.
  • Check new and alternative power supply approvals and assist the sales department with battery shipping queries.

Requirements:

  • HND/Degree in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent related qualification in Engineering/Physics.
  • Desirable experience in safety compliance approvals for electronic products, electromagnetic compatibility compliance testing and conformity, and EMC test measurements.

  • Able to work unsupervised using own initiative and understanding to solve problems.
  • Able to work well within a team and utilise other team members' skills to enhance the overall performance of the department.
  • Ability to collate report data accurately and quickly with high attention to detail.
