Job Title: Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team at Speech and Language UK's Bill Harrison Assessment Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with specialist teachers, speech and language therapists, an occupational therapist, and other professionals to provide expert support to children with complex needs.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and develop strategies for supporting children with SEND.
  • Work closely with families to understand their needs and facilitate access to educational support.
  • Provide professional development and training opportunities to enhance the skills of our team members.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or BPS equivalent, plus a professional qualification in Educational Psychology, and registration with the HCPC.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in SEND, particularly in Surrey and surrounding counties.
  • An ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and children.

What We Offer:

  • An annual salary of £47,930 - £50,360 FTE, with actual annual salary for 3 days per week being £28,758 - £30,216.
