We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Assessment Practitioner to join our Specialist Assessment Team on a permanent full-time basis in Medway. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assessing and intervening with vulnerable children and their families, ensuring they receive a high-quality service that promotes positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide Mid-Point Reports and Final Parenting Assessment Reports that advise on parental capacity and make recommendations about permanency arrangements for children.
  • To manage complex caseloads of assessments and interventions within a framework of appropriate reflective supervision, undertaking focused, analytical assessments, SMART plans, and reviews that have clear objectives and outcome measures.
  • To demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, reflecting a commitment to relationship and strengths-based practice, assessing and managing higher levels of risk, and working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, with experience in working with adults and children in complex situations. A competitive salary of up to £52,376 per annum reflects the importance of this role in promoting positive outcomes for looked-after children.
