The Paint Shop Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the painting and coating processes within the paint shop. This includes ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, managing a team of painters and coatings specialists, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of painters and coatings specialists to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  2. Oversee the painting and coating processes within the paint shop, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely.
  3. Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity within the paint shop.
  4. Collaborate with other team leads from different departments to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  5. Monitor and control costs within the paint shop, ensuring that all expenses are justified and within budget.
  6. Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed within the paint shop, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

  1. Health and safety knowledge, ensuring the correct PPE is used and understanding of paint system requirements.
  2. Confident in painting and varnishing procedures.
  3. Marine experience is highly desirable.
  4. Previous experience managing and supervising a team, or candidates looking to take the next step up will be considered.
  5. Confident in using computers, including Excel.
