About this role

We're seeking an experienced Early Years Room Leader to join our team at Kido Nursery & Preschool. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading your room, developing and implementing engaging activities, and ensuring the unique needs of each child are met.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead your room team to plan, organise and execute engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Kido curriculum.
  • Ensure the educators in your classroom take ownership of observing and assessing their key children and support them in setting goals for each child.
  • Be a role model for excellence, accountable for your team following standards and driving the growth, development and progress of your team.
  • Assess and record the progress and achievements of children in your care, aligning with our systems of observation.
  • Cater to individual needs, acknowledging the diversity of each child's background, culture, disabilities and medical history.

Requirements:

  • A relevant childcare qualification, level 3 minimum.
  • Values aligned with our 3 core values - Listen, Learn and Lead.
  • Experience as a Level 3 Educator and may already be a Room Leader or Deputy Room Leader.
  • The right to work in the UK.
