Job Title: Senior Simulation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Simulation Engineer to join our team at McLaren Group. As a key member of our Simulation Engineering Group, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining algorithms to interrogate our vehicle models, modelling dynamic systems to accurately represent vehicle performance, and developing innovative simulation tools to support the wider Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain algorithms to interrogate vehicle models
  • Model dynamic systems to accurately represent vehicle performance
  • Develop innovative simulation tools to support the Engineering team
  • Provide technical assistance to the broader team
  • Contribute to the development of a world-class simulation toolchain and analysis techniques

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, C++, and Python
  • Strong experience with numerical methods, modelling, and simulation techniques
  • Excellent technical and mathematical skills
  • Expertise in dynamical systems analysis and control

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a vehicle performance-focused role in high-level motorsport
  • Broad awareness of vehicle dynamics and global performance sensitivities in an F1 setting
  • Data science and machine learning competency
