Job Overview

UHBW Trust is seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Radiographer to fill the role of Band 6 Trainee Sonographer. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop their skills and knowledge in general medical ultrasound, while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake clinical training lists with experienced Sonographers and Radiologists to develop skills in general medical ultrasound.
  • Complete a post-graduate certificate in General Medical Ultrasound at Masters level, funded by UHBW Trust.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and department training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • HCPC registered Radiographer with relevant post-qualification experience in imaging.
  • Ability to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in General Medical Ultrasound.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
  • Leadership or management course or qualification.
  • Knowledge of other departments' works practice with which radiology has a significant interface.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time basis, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality and safe patient-focused service. The secondment post is expected to begin in December 2024/January 2025 and continue for approximately 18 months.
