UHBW Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Radiographer to take on a Band 6 Trainee Sonographer role. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to develop their skills and knowledge in ultrasound imaging, while working closely with experienced Sonographers and Radiologists.
Main Responsibilities- Undertake clinical training lists with experienced Sonographers and Radiologists to develop skills and knowledge in ultrasound imaging.
- Complete a Postgraduate Certificate in General Medical Ultrasound at Masters level, funded by UHBW Trust.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and department training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Able to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in General Medical Ultrasound.
- Relevant degree or equivalent at 2:2 or higher (e.g. BSc in Radiography).
- HCPC registered Radiographer currently employed by UHBW Trust.
- Suitable postgraduate experience in Radiography.
- Observational experience within the Ultrasound departments and demonstration of other relevant CPD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in audit / research / service development.
- Experience in leadership / mentoring / teaching.

- Skills and Competencies: Communication, Microsoft Office skills.
- Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: Able to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound, Evidence of continuing professional development, Leadership or management course or qualification, Registered Healthcare Professional on relevant part of NMC / HCPC register, Knowledge of other departments works practice with which radiology has a significant interface, Appropriate relevant Degree at 2:2 or equivalent, Appropriate post qualification experience in imaging, Relevant clinical courses, Quality assurance supervision and practice, Sound knowledge of all areas of Governance including H&S, COSHH, Manual Handling, Experience of teaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues training and development.
