We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to join our Finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role will provide financial leadership to the business, focusing on Management Accounting, Finance Systems, internal and external financial reporting, Financial Control, and Treasury.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, with experience in financial roles at a similar level. A background in the travel industry is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to visualise opportunities and re-engineer business processes.

The Finance Director will be responsible for delivering a quality financial service to the dnata Travel UK businesses and shared service functions. This includes providing regular communication and financial support, leading the standardisation of Management Accounts and Financial reporting, and building a robust financial control environment.

The successful candidate will also oversee the dnata Travel UK balance sheet, cash flow budget, and forecasting process. They will be expected to maintain, develop, and exploit UK ERP and other finance-related systems. Additionally, they will provide accurate and timely ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.

The Finance Director will be a key member of the Finance team, providing leadership, motivation, and development opportunities. They will ensure a robust succession plan is in place and drive a change in culture from multi-individual businesses to a UK business shared service group.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have extensive experience in financial roles at a similar level, ideally with a travel industry background. You will possess strong leadership capabilities, excellent influence and negotiating skills, and numerate and analytical thinking. Commercially astute and able to identify opportunities to improve revenue and profits, you will also have excellent organisational and time management skills.
