Job Description

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in leading and influencing teams.

The role is based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a 6% pension contribution rising to 9.7% after 18 months, life assurance 6x basic salary, and BUPA medical cover.

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Influencing and leading: Developing a network of internal resources to facilitate the completion of QA tasks, exerting individual influence at the peer and manager level.
  • Planning and organizing: Completing daily work to meet established QA target dates with minimal guidance from the supervisor, independently managing complex tasks and prioritizing workload effectively.
  • Driving decision-making and making an impact: Exercising authority within pre-established limits, approval, and being an independent decision-maker, failure to achieve results may affect schedules and programs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A BSc or MSc or HNC / HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering or related discipline, preferably mechanical or biomedical.
  • Extensive experience participating in internal and external audits (e.g., FDA, Notified Body, Supplier).
  • Worked within a highly regulated business (e.g., medical device, pharma business, or healthcare).
  • Experience with CAPAs, Quality, Root Cause Analysis, NCRs, Change Control, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Statistical/Quality tools.
  • Extensive experience in a similar Quality Assurance role.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills, resolving issues through negotiation, and internal/external influencing skills.
  • Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and/or continuous improvement certification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
