Hospital Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Hospital Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the sterilisation and disinfection of medical instruments, ensuring they are properly cleaned, disinfected, and packaged for use in surgical and medical procedures. This will involve working in a production environment, adhering to strict protocols and procedures to maintain the highest standards of infection control.
The role will also involve working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the sterilisation and disinfection unit. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays, and will be expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a good standard of education, with literacy and numeracy skills. Basic computer skills are also essential, as you will be required to use a PC daily. You will also need to be able to read small letters on instruments and follow written instructions.
A short test will be part of the interview process, and a full tour of the unit will be given. No experience is necessary, as you will receive full in-house training. The successful candidate will have high standards, show a genuine interest in healthcare and patient safety, and be able to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
