We are a charity that supports older people across the UK, and we are looking for a Sunday Sales Assistant to join our team in our Thatcham store.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to provide a quality retail service, taking responsibility for running our busy shop on Sundays. This varied role will include managing stock, displaying goods, maintaining the appearance of the shop, maximising sales, and promoting Gift Aid to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers
- Manage stock, including receiving, storing, and displaying goods
- Maintain the appearance of the shop, including cleaning and tidying
- Maximise sales by promoting Gift Aid and other products
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales targets and provide a high level of customer service
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Literate and numerate
- An effective team player
- Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stock
- A basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire regulations
