Manager for Learning Disabilities

About the Role
\We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to join our team at MIG House Residential in Brentwood, Essex. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of working with children with learning disabilities and/or autism and be able to provide high-quality, person-centred care.
\The ideal candidate will have experience managing an Ofsted-registered children's home and possess a solid understanding of Ofsted inspections and compliance standards. They will also have leadership, communication, and organisational skills to effectively manage staff and resources.
\Key Responsibilities
\- Lead the children's home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant regulations\
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care for children with learning disabilities and/or autism\
- Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives to maintain and improve care standards\
- Manage staff recruitment, training, appraisals, and performance to foster a skilled and motivated team\
- Ensure effective care planning and maintain accurate records in line with regulatory requirements\
- Oversee safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents
Requirements
\To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have:
\- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare\
- Experience managing an Ofsted-registered children's home\
- Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant statutory guidance\
- Leadership, communication, and organisational skills to effectively manage staff and resources\
- Compassionate, person-centred approach to care, towards service users and their families\
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and person-centred care
