Senior Residential Team Member Wanted

We are looking for an exceptional Registered Manager to join our team at MIG House Residential in Brentwood, Essex, supporting children with learning disabilities and/or autism.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small, friendly team in a residential childrens home and make a real difference in the lives of young people.

About the Job:

  • Full-time, permanent position with a salary of £50,000 per annum + performance bonus.
  • Leads the childrens home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant regulations.
  • Provides high-quality, person-centred care for children with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Develops and implements quality assurance initiatives to maintain and improve care standards.
  • Manages staff recruitment, training, appraisals, and performance to foster a skilled and motivated team.
  • Ensures effective care planning and maintains accurate records in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents.

Key Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Experience managing an Ofsted-registered childrens home.
  • Strong knowledge of the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant statutory guidance.
  • Leadership, communication, and organisational skills to effectively manage staff and resources.
  • A compassionate, person-centred approach to care, towards service users and their families.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and person-centred care.
