Job Overview

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work across various settings, acting as a practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, leader, and change agent to promote clinical excellence and improved health outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert nursing knowledge to deliver timely and effective patient care, working collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  2. Develop advanced assessment skills to evaluate patients' needs and critique own practice to maintain clinical competence.
  3. Prescribe evidence-based therapeutics and interventions to meet patients' needs, adhering to professional preparation and institutional policies.
  4. Guide and support others in the speciality in their assessment, decision-making, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care.
  5. Lead by example, providing leadership and guidance to others in nursing practice.
  6. Network nationally and internationally to identify and implement best practices and changes in nursing care.
