About the Role

Gerald Eve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our Planning and Development team in Manchester. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice and solutions to our clients, and contribute to the growth and development of our National Planning and Development business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with members of the Manchester Planning and Development team and other members of the P&D team in London and Birmingham to deliver planning projects and provide expert advice to clients.
  • Develop and implement effective planning strategies and solutions for clients, including preparation of planning applications, representations, and appeal statements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify business development opportunities and promote the firm's services.
  • Contribute to the development of the firm's planning expertise and thought leadership through the creation of thought pieces, presentations, and research.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the firm's planning services remain at the forefront of the market.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality planning advice and solutions in a private sector consultancy environment or equivalent.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, networking skills, and ability to participate effectively in a business-driven environment.
  • Strong academic and technical skills, with a good understanding of planning policy and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the growth and development of the firm's planning business.
