Offshore Crane Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Offshore Crane Technician to join our team at Human Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment, both onshore and offshore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Repair and inspect electrical equipment and systems.
  • Perform fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Commission, maintain, inspect, and service client mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with spares identification and procurement.
  • Produce clear and factual documented reports.
  • Rigging and lift planning.
  • Comply with site HSEQ requirements.
  • Work safely with all site staff to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Minimise environmental risks and ensure all available controls are utilised when offshore.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within the offshore/marine crane industry.
  • Commissioning and fault finding on electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work on your own or within a team.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • In-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance on offshore cranes.
  • BOSIET certification.
  • IT literacy and ability to write reports.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings and translate into practice.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with marine engineering applications.
