Senior Project Manager - Enabling Works

Insight Executive Group is proud to partner with North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust to source candidates for key appointments for the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a transformative healthcare initiative. We are seeking experienced and dynamic professionals to contribute to the creation of a state-of-the-art healthcare facility that will set new standards in patient care and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic delivery of the construction and commercial elements of the Enabling Works Programme, ensuring alignment with NHS sustainability and Net Zero targets.
  • Oversee the development and management of project teams, ensuring effective delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage procurement processes for construction and commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with government frameworks and best value for money.
  • Develop and implement integrated governance and risk management plans for the programme.
Project Deliverables
  • Build a new multi-storey car park to ensure the hospital's parking needs can be met on the hospital site throughout construction and ongoing operation, based on the Trust's car parking strategy. To include EV charging points, fire suppression measures, flood attenuation, and hard and soft landscaping.
  • Provide temporary road access into the Hospital site and a suitable contractor's compound on the adjacent land via a lease or licence.
  • Provide suitable on-site access for construction traffic to facilitate access for development of other enabling works programmes.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in construction and commercial leadership, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering results.
