We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Handler to join our team at DAS UK Group in our Bristol Office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of legal expenses claims with a value of up to £25,000. You will utilize your exceptional customer service skills to collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including solicitors, brokers, and accountants, as well as personal customers.
This is a fast-paced role, requiring strong organisational and prioritising skills. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate empathy and resilience while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and working within established procedures.
As a Senior Claims Handler, you will:
- Manage a varied range of claims, focusing on providing excellent customer service to our customers.
- Oversee the customer experience throughout the claim life-cycle, from initial contact to investigating evidence and making informed decisions on claims outcomes, displaying empathy and compassion throughout.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to our customers, business partners, and internal customers.
- Quickly develop your knowledge of DAS UK Group products and policies to become an expert in assessing and identifying claims, and managing appointments of litigators and solicitors where necessary.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- An understanding of delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A drive to work in a customer-facing or technical role.
- Experience in working in a claims environment in general insurance or in legal services.
- A calm and patient manner when dealing with challenging and emotional claims.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
