Responsibilities and Requirements

This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in Education and Safeguarding. As a Welfare Officer, you will assist with providing effective support to students with various welfare issues, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their studies.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Supporting the promotion of pastoral care across UCEM programs
  • Providing administrative assistance with the delivery of UCEM's Mental Health Strategy
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless student support services

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong foundation in Safeguarding principles and practices
  • Experience of working in FE/HE settings
  • Digital skills: proficiency in MS Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
