Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our Salford Dual Diagnosis Team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health problems and substance misuse issues.

Main Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing community-based engagement and assessment to clients with complex mental health and substance misuse needs. You will work closely with mental health and addiction services, as well as council staff, drug and alcohol workers, police, and homeless outreach workers to provide mental health support to rough sleepers.

You will be responsible for assessing mental health needs for homeless individuals who are not engaged with mainstream mental health services. Your role will also involve active participation in service planning and future development of mental health support for homeless individuals within the Salford district.

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Mental Health Practitioner with experience of working in a community setting and a strong understanding of mental health and dual diagnosis. You will have a qualification in a relevant profession and post-qualification experience working with complex mental health needs.
