About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Disabilities Support Professional to provide information and counselling services to unpaid carers in the Falkirk area.

Unpaid carers are individuals who dedicate their time and energy to supporting loved ones with disabilities, illnesses, mental health issues, addictions, or frailty.

This role involves working closely with carers and network partners to offer support and information, encouraging them to access Adult Carer Support Plans and participate in local and national forums.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and contribute effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information and counselling services to unpaid carers
  • Engage with carers to encourage participation in Adult Carer Support Plans
  • Support carers in accessing local and national forums
  • Work collaboratively with network partners to deliver effective support services

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Motivation and enthusiasm for supporting unpaid carers

Compensation Package: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
