About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and oversight of key financial processes. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for driving financial excellence within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the monthly financial closing process, delivering timely insights and presentations to Senior Management.
  • Oversees compliance with internal governance policies and accounting standards, safeguarding financial integrity.
  • Provides expertise in technical accounting, supporting statutory account preparation, and manages relationships with external auditors for audits.
  • Coordinates internal controls (JSOX/SOX), ensuring robust compliance and accountability.
  • Serves as a key liaison across teams to ensure a seamless financial reporting process.

Experience and Qualifications

  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA-qualified accountant, with proven experience in statutory accounts under Financial Reporting Standards 101 & 102.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially in pension and lease accounting.
  • Skilled in managing internal controls and compliance.
  • Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint, with SAP proficiency as an added advantage.

  • Approximately £44K - £54K salary, permanent position.
  • Hybrid working arrangement, with 2 days per week from home.
  • Time off in lieu/overtime, a 39-hour work week, and a progressive pension scheme starting at 3%/6% employer match.
