Position Summary:
Our client, a prominent consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to enhance their team. This role is based from their office in Reigate, offering flexible working arrangements due to ongoing expansion and a robust project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
The Chartered Building Surveyor will be responsible for providing expert advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of diverse residential and commercial properties. The role includes conducting building and measured surveys, with a particular emphasis on:
- Insurance-related assessments and expert witness reports.
- Collaborating closely with the Technical Director.
- Engaging in a variety of building surveying tasks.
Compensation and Benefits:
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000, depending on experience, with potential for higher remuneration for exceptional candidates. Additional benefits include:
- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
- 7.5% employer pension contribution.

Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- MRICS status or actively pursuing this qualification.
- A valid driving license.
- Proximity to Reigate for commuting purposes.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance works and expert witness reporting.
- A solid employment history with no frequent job changes.
- Experience in managing insurance claims, including defect reports and contract administration.
- Familiarity with consulting engineering, surveying, architectural, and planning practices.
- Understanding of Party Wall matters and relevant regulations.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and Building Regulations.
