Senior Chartered Building Surveyor Opportunity

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Reigate, Surrey, is seeking an experienced Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team.

About the Role

This is a challenging and varied position that will provide support to the Surveying team on a wide range of projects, including insurance work, primarily residential and commercial buildings in all forms of construction.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in the residential sector and will be responsible for inspecting and providing advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
  • Undertake large value projects independently with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services.
  • Provide supervision and support to APC candidates to promote knowledge and understanding.
  • Apply relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning.
Requirements
  • Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive experience working in the residential sector.
  • Strong knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural, and planning practices and procedures.
  • Experience in Defect Diagnosis and report writing.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets on large-scale projects.
  • Sound mathematical, scientific, and IT skills and the ability to think methodically to problem solve.
