Job Summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced midwife to lead our Preterm Birth and Multiple Births clinics. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to enhancing our Preterm and Multiple birth pathways.

Main Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management, clinical leadership, and auditing of the Preterm and Multiple Births clinics. This will involve working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support families with complex maternal or fetal needs, liaising with tertiary centres where appropriate.

About the Role

The post holder will be responsible for providing midwifery input and acting as a failsafe for birthing people accessing high-risk obstetric services. The preterm birth clinic and multiple births clinic will be run and managed by the one post holder.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a registered midwife with relevant experience, a postgraduate qualification, and a minimum of 3 years at Band 6. They will also have evidence of managing key performance indicators or change management, and knowledge of SBLCBV3, Maternity Incentive Scheme, and Ockenden recommendations.
