About the Role

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join our team. As a Clinical Lead in Dermatology, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and oversight to the Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust Skin Health Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant and clinical leadership to the Skin Health Service, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies and pathways for dermatology services across the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP).
  • Work closely with the current Clinical Lead to support, strengthen, and complement the aspects of day-to-day leadership within the service.
  • Collaborate with the Skin Health Service team, including clinicians, operational leads, and administration staff, to deliver dermatology services in the community.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery, ensuring alignment with the Trust's values and goals.

Requirements

  • On the specialist register
  • Advanced dermatological surgical skills, including flaps and grafts
  • Full spectrum of prescribing, including biologics, DMARDS, and other complex drugs
  • Experience of teaching and educational supervision
  • Understanding of clinical governance principles

Desirable Qualifications

  • MD or PhD
  • Recent published clinical research
