About the Role
CFA Institute is seeking an experienced Event Producer to join our team. As an Event Producer, you will be responsible for managing events from delivery to evaluation, developing and implementing strategies to achieve event goals, and managing cross-functional project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage events from delivery and evaluation, developing and implementing strategies to achieve event goals, maximize budgets, minimize risks, and manage cross-functional project teams.
- Develop, present, and manage event budgets and related fiscal recommendations to stakeholders to successfully produce events.
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver events according to business needs, effectively negotiating and building strong business relationships with external vendors.
- Seek to generate creative, innovative ideas and follow through to event completion, adding value by researching best practices and looking for continuous streamlined improvements.
- Use comprehensive events management knowledge and skills to work independently and within a team to develop appropriate action plans and/or performing necessary tasks based on recommendations and requirements.
- Effectively and appropriately communicate with others to build relationships, influence, and facilitate the sharing of ideas and information for the benefits of the events.
- Achieve thoroughness and accuracy across all tasks related to the events, through concern for all stakeholders involved, no matter how small.
Requirements
- Three years+ of experience with in-person and virtual events, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions management and demonstrated project management skills in a business environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail.
- Export vendor manager including AV knowledge.
- Current or recent EMEA experience.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Very high level of organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation.
- Consulting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative, good judgment, and mature business skills.
- Intermediate level skills in using standard office software, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, CMP or industry equivalent designation is a plus.
- Candidates with AV and Brightcove experience.
- Candidates with an Association background will be preferred.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid working role, requiring two days in the London office and occasional travel and work in either the US or EMEA. CFA Institute is committed to the professional development of its employees and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
