We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with severe Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to children with complex communication needs
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to enhance children's ability to express themselves
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create personalized learning plans
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and adjust support strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate with parents and carers
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
- Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
