Lecturer in Signal Processing and Autonomous Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Signal Processing and Autonomous Systems to join our team at the University of Edinburgh.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the area of signal processing and autonomous systems. They will also contribute to the development of new research projects and collaborations with industry partners.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and develop undergraduate and postgraduate courses in signal processing and autonomous systems
- Conduct research in signal processing and autonomous systems, with a focus on applications in sensor signal processing and information fusion, target detection and tracking, and signal processing and control systems for robotics and autonomous systems
- Develop and maintain a strong research portfolio, with a focus on attracting external research funding and producing high-quality publications
- Contribute to the development of new research projects and collaborations with industry partners
- Supervise and mentor students, including PhD students and postdoctoral researchers
- PhD in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, computer science, or mathematics
- Proven track record of research and teaching experience in signal processing and autonomous systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students
- Ability to attract and manage research funding, with a focus on securing grants and contracts
- Strong publication record, with a focus on high-impact journals and conferences
