Midwifery Practice Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwifery Practice Educator to join our Clinical Learning and Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to pre-registration midwifery students, ensuring they meet the NMC Standards for student supervision and assessment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in midwifery practice, with experience in supervising and assessing pre-registration midwifery students. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with mentors, students, and other stakeholders.
The role will involve coordinating educational activities and assessments, maintaining the learning and development assessment governance framework, and working collaboratively with Accredited Education Institution (AEI) partners to support practice learning for midwifery students.
The successful candidate will be a registered midwife with a proven track record of midwifery practice, and will have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality education and support to pre-registration midwifery students
- Coordinate educational activities and assessments
- Maintain the learning and development assessment governance framework
- Work collaboratively with AEI partners to support practice learning for midwifery students
- Develop and maintain a learning environment that supports the NMC Standards for student supervision and assessment
Requirements:
- Registered midwife with a strong background in midwifery practice
- Experience in supervising and assessing pre-registration midwifery students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with mentors, students, and other stakeholders
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and education
