We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Respiratory Nurse Specialist to join our Leeds Community Respiratory Service. Our team provides care and treatment for patients with COPD, predominantly in their homes and clinics. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for patients living with COPD, empowering them to manage their condition and making their own decisions. We collaborate closely with colleagues in local hospitals to facilitate hospital discharges and support admission avoidance, as well as chronic disease management and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Main Responsibilities

You will be passionate about patient care, flexible in your approach, and committed to service development. Delivering care in patient homes, you will be comfortable making decisions and working independently with the support of the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will have experience of caring for patients with COPD, but full training and support will be provided. You will primarily work Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, however, we are a 7-day service, and once fully trained, you will be required to work approximately 1 in 14 weekends. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you can travel independently across the city and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. We will consider full or part-time hours with a minimum of 30 hours.
