RF Engineering Director Job Description

The successful RF Engineering Director will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation RF technologies, products, and systems that will drive the future of the company's European subsidiary.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and Manage the RF Engineering Team: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the RF engineering team.
  2. Develop and Execute the RF Engineering Strategy: Align the RF engineering strategy with the company's broader goals and objectives.
  3. Oversee RF System Design and Testing: Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of RF systems.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to capture RF opportunities and build on the company's capabilities and product offerings.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in RF design processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
  2. Experience: 10+ years of experience in RF engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  3. Proven Track Record: Proven track record of leading successful RF projects from concept to production in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  4. RF Design Expertise: Deep expertise in RF design, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and communication systems, with a desire to continue playing a role as an individual contributor on programs, projects, and key R&D activities.
  5. Simulation Tools and RF Testing Equipment: Strong knowledge of the latest simulation tools and RF testing equipment.
  6. Leadership and Team-Building Skills: Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
  7. Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges.
