About the Role

Fife Council is committed to safeguarding public funds and ensuring the responsible use of resources to serve our community. We are seeking a Corporate Fraud Officer to lead our efforts in identifying, investigating, and preventing fraud across all areas of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist management in providing a professional and effective Corporate Fraud service to Fife Council and, if required, the Integration Joint Board.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions to promote a strong anti-fraud culture within the organization.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support fraud prevention efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate fraud risks.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement and implement effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist qualification or willingness to study for it.
  • Experience in fraud investigation and analysis.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and tools.
