We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Planning and Highways Solicitor to join our team in East Anglia.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of planning and highways law, as well as committee experience, and be able to provide advice on governance and constitutional matters.

  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and highways related law
  • Proven track record of advising on large scale property development projects
  • Able to manage high volume planning and highways transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
  • Leadership skills, managing or supervising a team of experienced professionals
  • Ability to develop client relationships and identify areas for expansion of work
  • Proficient in conducting legal research, interpreting legislation and summarizing key points of case law

The estimated salary range for this role is £90,000 - £120,000 per annum.

  • At least two years of post-qualification experience, preferably gained in a local authority setting
  • Planning and delivering legal briefing/training courses
  • SUCCESSFUL management of teams workload, including attracting and developing new clients/areas
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant court and appeal procedures
  • Advocacy skills
