Job Overview

Allen Lane is supporting a shared legal service in the East Anglia region with their recruitment for a Principal Planning and Highways Solicitor. This role requires an individual with a strong understanding of local government law, planning, and highways regulations.

We are looking for a skilled solicitor to lead our team in advising on large-scale property development projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing high-volume transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and highways-related law
  • Proven ability to advise on complex property development projects
  • A track record of managing multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Experience in leading, managing, or supervising a team of professionals
  • Ability to develop client relationships and identify areas for business growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice on planning and highways law
  • Leading project teams to deliver results-oriented outcomes
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships
  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth

Requirements:

  • At least two years of post-qualification experience preferably gained in a Local Authority setting
  • Experience in planning and delivering training courses
  • Proven success in managing workload and attracting new clients
  • Strong knowledge of relevant court procedures

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience.
