Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in Fleet. As a primary education specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs aged 4-11 on a 1:1 basis.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and expand their knowledge and skillset in a dynamic and supportive environment. Career progression routes include Primary Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes.
Responsibilities:- Assist the class teacher in providing a tailored learning experience for students
- Behaviour and pastoral support
- Build robust and effective relationships with students
- Practical approach to meet individual student needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances
