Job Title: Assistant Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Team Manager to join our progressive team at Hampshire County Council. As an Assistant Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting Social Workers within the Children's Assessment Safeguarding Team, who work with children under child protection plans, child-in-need plans, and those involved in Public Law Outline/initial care proceedings.

About the Role

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing the Hampshire Approach, ensuring the child's voice is heard and their views recorded
  • Supporting Social Workers in their daily work, providing guidance and expertise as needed
  • Conducting pre-birth and parenting assessments, and contributing to multi-agency practices
  • Upholding and ensuring high standards are practiced and maintained

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience in statutory social care practice, working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families
  • A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • A current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis
