Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Team Manager to join our Children's Assessment Safeguarding Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Social Workers in their work with children under child protection plans, child-in-need plans, and those involved in Public Law Outline/initial care proceedings.

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the Hampshire Approach, ensuring the child's voice is heard and their views recorded. You will work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to provide high-quality support and guidance.

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in statutory social care practice, working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families. A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England are prerequisites for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Social Workers in their work with children under child protection plans, child-in-need plans, and those involved in Public Law Outline/initial care proceedings.
  • Implement the Hampshire Approach, ensuring the child's voice is heard and their views recorded.
  • Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to provide high-quality support and guidance.
  • Uphold and ensure high standards are practiced and maintained.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in statutory social care practice.
  • Collaborative working style with children, young people, and their families.
  • Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
