Role Summary:

We are excited to welcome a dedicated Assistant Team Manager to our dynamic team within the Shared Services Partnership. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our Family Help Model, playing a pivotal role in enhancing our services across the region.

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting Social Workers in the Children's Assessment Safeguarding Team. This team focuses on children under protective plans, those in need, and cases involving initial care proceedings. Your contributions will extend to multi-agency collaborations, including conducting assessments and ensuring the safety and well-being of adolescents.

With a manageable caseload, you will implement the Hampshire Approach, ensuring that the voices of children are prioritized and their perspectives are documented. Your involvement in this transition aligns with the recommendations from the Independent Review of Children's Social Care, reflecting our commitment to improving outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Social Workers in delivering high-quality services to children and families.
  • Participate in multi-agency practices and assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory social care practices and maintain high standards.
  • Travel to various locations as required, necessitating a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in statutory social care, demonstrating a collaborative approach to working with children, young people, and their families. A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England are essential for this role.
