Job Description:

As a Materials Planner within our procurement division at Reed, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective purchasing, minimizing risk, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to coordinate cost-effective purchasing strategies.
  • Review MRP exceptions to identify and mitigate risks in inbound purchases.
  • Communicate price and lead time variations to the Procurement Team.
  • Attend and contribute to Demand, Planning, and Marketing meetings to ensure accurate MRP evaluations.

Requirements:

  • CIPS qualification or relevant experience in procurement.
  • Strong mathematical and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
  • Experience with Sage software is preferable.
