About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to take on the role of Section Lead in our Service Data Investigations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance management and strategic direction of the Data Investigations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage team performance: Oversee the performance management, development, and well-being of your team, ensuring that team members are supported in their professional growth.
  • Pipeline development: Maintain and develop a pipeline of future data science opportunities, ensuring that the team is aligned with business needs and objectives.
  • Service request management: Oversee the management and delivery of ad-hoc service requests to support emergent queries and issues.
  • Promote process compliance: Emphasize process compliance within the team, particularly focusing on procedures relevant to data science and analytics projects.
Requirements
  • Experience in data science: A strong background in data science, with prior experience in a role that involved data analysis, investigation, and project delivery.
  • Leadership and development skills: Proven experience in leading teams, with skills in performance management, development, and supporting the well-being of team members.
  • Strong communication and collaboration: Excellent communication skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders and promotion of collaboration within the wider data science community.
