About the Role

The Company, Penguin Recruitment Ltd, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join their team. As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for delivering strategic, innovative, and sustainable planning solutions across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, leisure, and rural developments.
  • Build and nurture client relationships, as well as mentor junior staff.
  • Develop and implement planning strategies that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest planning regulations, policies, and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Chartered membership or eligibility with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
  • Several years of experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy or local authority environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, regulations, and policy frameworks.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
