Senior Town Planner Job Description

Our client, a highly regarded town planning consultancy, is seeking a Chartered Senior Town Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress their careers and be part of an experienced, enthusiastic, and like-minded team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meaningfully engaged in a variety of projects
  • Building and nurturing client relationships
  • Mentoring more junior staff
Requirements:
  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • Chartered membership or eligibility with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
  • Several years of experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy or local authority environment
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, regulations, and policy frameworks
  • Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills
