Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineering Specialist to join our team. This role is based in Warrington and offers a permanent position with a world-leading client in the oil & gas, chemicals, and conventional energy sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Process Safety elements within budget and planning, including change control and consistency of Process design with other disciplines and quality of Process safety outputs.
  • Lead and drive quality in all Engineering designs and projects, including checking and approving discipline design deliverables to company procedures.
  • Carry out, check, and approve Engineering and Design estimates, control, and report all costs on allocated projects in terms of progress, scope change, and man hours.
Requirements:
  • Over 3 years of experience as Lead/Senior Engineer Process in multi-discipline projects in an Engineering/EPCM/EPC company in one of the mentioned sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of Process engineering and design, with a sound understanding of other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and EC&I).
  • Experience in process design in a capital project environment, with an understanding of what needs to be delivered to assure a compliant design.
  • Knowledge of process safety principles, including HAZID, HAZOP, CHAZOP, PHA, SIL, LOPA, DSEAR, and pressure relief.
  • Experience with mainstream process industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, and conventional energy.
  • An understanding of Gas industry Process safety practices is desirable.
  • MEng/MSc/BSc/BEng in Process/Chemical Engineering.
Estimated Salary Range

£60,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
